I’m hopeful for this! I’d be happy to pay for music if the price is reasonable and I know it’s going to the artists and not some dumb record label.

I’m not the type to run super intensive games, and even those games have plenty of warm up time in the form of a loading screen.
That being said, I have had instances of my entire system shutting down due to a graphically intensive game, but it’s much rarer than when running a local LLM.
How do I do that?
So the system is a gaming laptop which might explain things. The CPU has liquid metal for cooling and a lower TDP so it’s fine. Whereas the GPU has a higher TGP and if ran hard draws like 120W. If the GPU fans are not already on this quickly overwhelming the GPU thermally.
I have a memory consumption issue with Ubuntu, because I stupidly set up the system to have 0 swap. This means under high memory pressure, the entire system could suddenly crash.
To be fair, Windows isn’t a shining beacon either because whenever I attempt something very GPU intensive like running local LLMs the GPU overheats in a split second before the fans have time to spin up and the entire system shuts down.
I came from a single cylinder 250 and I spend 99% of my time below 6k lol on the Street Triple. It already has crazy torque, but when I let it wind out and feel the surge of torque at 8k-9k, I feel nearly invincible and going into warp drive.
Nice clean bike, how are you liking the inline-4 riding experience? I currently have a 2012 Street Triple which is pretty similar and I absolutely love it.
FedEx if you only need to print once in a blue moon…
Think about why you joined Lemmy. Reddit has been getting greedier and greedier, so you left to a place where the grass is greener. The same thing is true with Windows and Linux (and Linux is also much more big and mature than Lemmy). It attracts the same kind of people.
I make sure my own web game can run smoothly on crappy hardware. It runs well on my gaming laptop downclocked to 400MHz with a 4x slowdown set by Chrome. It also loads in a couple seconds with a typical crappy Internet connection of 200kbps and >10% packet loss. However, it doesn’t run smoothly on my Snapdragon 425 phone or my old Core 2 Duo laptop. Is this my game or just browser overhead?
The thing is that the Harley-like low rider style bikes are best if you’re short due to the low seat height. If that’s not your cup of tea then you can go with a standard bike.
I started on an '06 Suzuki GZ250, which is a simple light cruiser (“Harley style”) bike. It still was carbed and didn’t make much power but it was happy to cruise at 55mph. An alternative is the Suzuki TU250X which has more standard styling but is fuel injected.
If you want something more sport oriented, you could get a Kawasaki Ninja 250, which was pretty much unchanged from the late 80s all the way to 2012.
