Use lidar you ketamine saturated motherfucker
I’m in the same boat. I started with Ubuntu partly because I wanted to start learning ROS (robot operating system) and the documentation for that at the time mentioned Ubuntu. I’ve heard great things about Mint, which I’ll probably try soon, and when I “upgrade” my gaming desktop to Win 11 I’m partly expecting it to try and fuck with Grub and my Ubuntu partition so I’m going to probably install Bazzite once Win 11 is set up. Hopefully Bazzite is good enough for gaming that I rarely will have a need to use Windows. Sadly there is windows-only software I need. I tried Wine once and it didn’t work.

I don’t get the reference.

… Microsoft?

I always regret never picking up those skills.
Never too late

IIRC that’s only potentially going to be a law in Washington state (for now). It’s not really enforceable. It’s a law made by people who don’t know what they’re talking about. My printers and my slicers are blocked from communicating outside my local network. Once shape-blocking firmware gets pushed people will just revert back to the previous firmware version.

A recruiter called me for a job at Meta and I told them I would never work for them and that the world would be a better place if Meta didn’t exist.

Up voting because you made be lol, not because I agree with you. Been on GOS for over a year, it’s not that bad. A few apps don’t work, it’s only slightly inconvenient.

I miss the Nvidia that just made video game hardware :(

Then do what I do, just read the title and get mad for free.

I’ve been dual-booting for years. Made a big push to get the software I typically use on Windows to run on Ubuntu. Haven’t touched Windows in about a month and it’s wonderful. Haven’t got gaming nailed down yet, going to try Bazzite on my desktop. Some of my more graphics-intensive games don’t run well on Ubuntu. Pretty sure my desktop is compatible with Windows 11, I’ll upgrade at some point but I still plan to only use it when it’s necessary. Unfortunately it is necessary for me sometimes. I’ll probably start making preparations soon switch to Win 11 and be prepared for that to fuck my Ubuntu partition, so that’s probably when I’ll install Bazzite as well. My old Lenovo tank is already Linux-only.

I need to try mint

UpCloud is nice but ever since I started using UpDog I don’t think I can go back.

Agreed. I just got banned from techtakes for pointing this out but the Falcon 9 rocket is the most reliable launch vehicle today.

I fucking love my C3. Also not connected to the internet. It’s gorgeous.

I love that for you

Never too late to switch to GrapheneOS.

Got 'em
The best time to add lidar would have been years ago, the second best time is right now. I don’t think he would have to update the old cars, it could just be part of the hardware V5 package. He’s obviously comfortable with having customers beta testing production vehicles so he can start creating a lidar set now or he can continue failing to make reliable self-driving cars.
