I recently built a PC and installed Windows 10 on it because I primarily built it to play League of Legends (don’t judge me). Aside from that, I’ve also found a couple ways to get my hands on other games as well. My other daily driver already Kubuntu installed onto it and I’d really like to use some distro on this desktop PC, but it’s just not really practicable since all the games would be running from exe files or have anti-cheat (screw you League). I don’t really see a way around this apart from using virtual Windows for the games within Linux, right?

I’ll be honest, I’m guilty of using Chat GPT at times for stuff I know barely anything about and know I probably won’t be able to find through research as quickly as I’d like to. I always try the old-fashioned way of using a search engine first, go through reddit and forums and stuff, but sometimes I just need to use AI for a good first pointer

Why are so many people here calling Spez “Spaz”? Isn’t that considered to be a slur similarly to the r-word?
Edit: Mind actually answering my question instead of mindlessly downvoting? Jesus
It’s sad that people have gotten used to just throwing away stuff instead of repairing it. Sure, some repairs really aren’t worth it - like the screen I’d gotten replaced of my LG G3 that was prone to have this defect with its screen regardless of screen swaps and whatnot - but most of the time, it’s just minor things that can actually be fixed by non-tech savvy person.
I think it should be of paramount importance that more companies are held accountable as to the amount of waste they’re producing and how much they’re contributing to pollution and waste around the globe. Unfortunately, capitalism is a thing, so that’s not gonna happen.
Having repairable options for those that do care is awesome, though. If I could afford, I’d gladly go for a Fairphone if I ever need to replace my current phone (still going strong after 5 years of use). Until their mass appeal, they’ll likely remain out of my pockets.

Haven’t tried, actually, since I rarely if ever need the cameras. However, I read that getting the cameras to work is a bit of a hassle. Not impossible but annoying

Yea it used to but it’s been killed by Riot’s new Vanguard anti-cheat system. It’s also kernel level afaik, so it’s officially impossible to play League on Linux now
