    This is unfortunately why I don’t think the fediverse will thrive: the majority of folks on here are so privacy-focused, that many of them refuse to tell personal stories or antecedents.

    It’s extremely unfortunate.

      I think the crowd you are describing are just the wave of technological first adopters who usually have these traits.

      As Lemmy becomes more mainstream, the less privacy focused users will grow in numbers and soon you will have more of this type of posts.

      The “update” part meant all the posts were long and engaging stories spanning multiple posts condensed to a single post over a period of between a week to a decade potentially.
