  • Here, Gizmodo. Let me fix that title for you.

“Almost half the upset tweets on the most bottidden platform (twitter) about Cracker Barrel were likely from bots.”

Realistically, the upset was probably more about how the new logo came on all of a sudden, was very plain, and like how coca cola found out with new coke in the 1980s, it’s not necessarily that people love cracker barrel. It’s a part of their nostalgia they grew up with. They went with Grandma and Grandpa growing up. It was a special little stop on a family vacation to eat. They liked looking at the toys and candy in the gift shop and it was so weird and cool they had a store in the restaurant. It can be a company nightmare to screw with a logo that’s been around for decades that could have memories attached to it.

Especially the new one is pretty lame.

Nintendo was overblown? The switch launch units had a very large rate of drift issues within the first year. I’d call it fair to say that most of the launch version had drift issues. Most Nintendo hardware releases have no major flaws while “viewed under the microscope”. I guess the switch 2 has a shitty screen, but it’s not flawed hardware. The screens were made to be shit from the getgo.

  • Why? It’s idiotic to force age verification and an ID to play games on the internet, and I’m assuming the kid didn’t just click a button to turn off parental controls. He probably got his parents to do it. Liability shouldn’t be pushed off to others every time something bad happens. This is the groomers fault. Not a game company or an internet provider or anyone else. Hell; why not sue Intel for making a processor that allowed the game to be played and discord to be used? Do you also expect every startup game company and Indy dev to have millions of dollars worth of chat security and oversight? Shit like this is nothing but a money grab.
