Gotta LOVE the EU, they’re working at a glacial pace but sooner or later (most likely later) it changes the landscape for the better.
If only enshittification would happen slow enough for the EU to catch up to.

Never felt so much more in control than when ditching Windows and installing first Linux Mint and later Kubuntu. Gonna try Arch in the future to feel like a god and completely in control over what happens on my machine.
The only way to pay for subscription is with a credit card, no thank you, my culture mostly doesn’t use those and I don’t have or want one.

Say what you want about Zuckerberg, but most people with enough intelligence don’t hate trans people
Eh… intelligence is helpful, but in the end does not inoculate one against BS opinions. Musk is (supposedly) intelligent and toxic as hell, Richard Dawkins is (definitely) intelligent and a fucking TERF. fuck, Jordan Peterson (for all his faults) is a demonstrative intelligent man… he’s just also an asshole and wrong about a multitude of things.
Yeah, well the DMA wasn’t going to cost most EU politicians much of their good ol’ corporate lobbying monies. But switching the EU off of Micro$oft would definitely not only lose those funds, but also introduce way more vigorous counter-lobbying.
One pro of the EU’s glacial pace is that they frog-boil the shareholders, meaning most counter-lobbying activities are relatively tame.
But damn, do I wish they would just give the finger to all those
americancorporations and start a 4-year transition to OSS.
