I had one of the original netbooks (Asus EEEPC) back in the mid 2000s and I absolutely loved that thing. It was really great for bopping around college and travelling and such and had a killer battery life of like 8 or 10 hours or something like that. I used to run Win 7 dual booted with Ubuntu
It works on so many levels because there is a non-trivial amount of Linux elitists who are just as insufferable as Katy Perry!
I was just fine without voice assistants and such. I especially don’t want LLMs being shoved down my throat at every turn.
I don’t fucking want AI in my phone, so take it out and be done with it.
People wouldn’t shit on AI if it wasn’t needlessly crammed down our throats.
Any pure EV from Mazda is actually a rebadged Chinese car but I forget which brand. It’s basically the only way Mazda could sell EVs in China and that’s what they offer to the European market as well. In North America, I know we only have the PHEV variants but no EV only.
Uncle Teddy would definitely not approve of this.
Japanese manufacturers are not perfect but seem to be the least interested in doing this kind of anti-consumer nonsense, at least for now. I have been happy with every Mazda I’ve owned in the last decade (3 in total) for what it’s worth.
Chromebooks and Apple products hitting EoL for sure.
