I can’t see ever owning an 8k display unless it’s like 200 inches… The ones that are available now are too expensive to be a justifiable purchase and there’s not really an abundance of content that takes advantage of the format.
My hangup with self-hosting is due to the fact that I have a family for whom managing their entire library would be a full-time job. It’s unfortunately worth the $15/month for me to not have to constantly take requests for new music, add that to the server, troubleshoot when things don’t work, etc.
See, this is why I like Linux Mint. I’ve gotten lazy in my old age and just want things to function.
I’m actually using Monaspace Neon from Microsoft of all things. Before that it was Deja Vu Sans Mono
As a programmer, I’m disappointed there isn’t a monospace variant.
My crowbar of justice is ready to be liberally applied
I would have looked it up if the comments didn’t speak about it already. Don’t worry, I’m not a troglodyte when it comes to actually having critical thinking skills.
I’m ignorant enough that I didn’t realize this wasn’t actually happening until I read the comments. My networking knowledge is piss poor haha.
Welcome to the second-to-last stage of capitalism.
That website isn’t one to judge. I opened it up and there’s huge ad overlay immediately lol.
Chromebooks and Apple products hitting EoL for sure.
Thanks for the kek

I had one of the original netbooks (Asus EEEPC) back in the mid 2000s and I absolutely loved that thing. It was really great for bopping around college and travelling and such and had a killer battery life of like 8 or 10 hours or something like that. I used to run Win 7 dual booted with Ubuntu
It works on so many levels because there is a non-trivial amount of Linux elitists who are just as insufferable as Katy Perry!
I was just fine without voice assistants and such. I especially don’t want LLMs being shoved down my throat at every turn.
I don’t fucking want AI in my phone, so take it out and be done with it.
People wouldn’t shit on AI if it wasn’t needlessly crammed down our throats.
There will be such a thing that arises as a “grey net” I think. Not the dark web, but also not mainstream internet.
