Yeah, no.
It’s still censorship even if the person in question wants it to be censored.
People shouldn’t get to dictate whether or not wikipedia articles are made of them.

That doesn’t make it ok.
Do the engineers get to see a proportional return on this?
I used to have respect for those people, but now I just see them as suckers aiding the enemy.
Not bias, but I was surprised to find out how Wikipedia is censoring information surrounding ChrisChan.
All of the articles mentioning him in English just say he’s an internet personality, and his English Wikipedia page has been removed.
That kind of censorship doesn’t sit will with me. What else are they keeping from us?
That’s unfortunately a dealbreaker for me. I have a free phone from some company I’ve never heard of and I don’t plan on buying a new one. Hopefully we will see more progress on mobile operating systems in the coming years.
Quality- down
Quantity- down
Profits- UP UP UP
Useful idiots- PROUD PROUD PROUD
I wish we lived in a society where we made fun of idiots for getting ripped off. There’s just so many of them though that it’s seen as normal and we’re the weird ones if we don’t go along with it.
The elitism surrounding ground beef, cheese, beans, and tortillas is always amusing.
I bet you also think less or more of people based on how they like their steak.
Sure bud.
Not ever since they got rid of the $1 beef burrito.
Taco bell is scamcity just like the rest of them.
Probably on price.
Taco bell is hella overpriced, but I’m sure that just gives an excuse to the other scumbags to charge even more. I’m always disgusted at the prices food trucks charge vs. the quality of food they shit out.
Useful idiots gonna useful idiot ¯_(ツ)_/¯
If you don’t look for avenues around literally everything “default”, you’re being scammed.
This is unfortunately true. I’m glad some people realize it, but I wish we didn’t have to.
This abuse needs to end. Heads are going to roll.
We still need security updates.
All corporations suck fucking donkey dick because consumers are morons.
Yep. There’s no such thing as competition any more.
Tech companies are just gas stations across the street from each other.
I disagree. That would’ve just been more garbage like with the xbox.
I came here specifically to ask about alternatives to Android now that google is becoming too abusive in the relationship.
Thanks. I’m probably doing something wrong here.
When I try to connect while self-hosting, I get stuck at “Connecting to update server” when Runescape is loading in the client window.
In ~/.local/share/2009scape/config.json
, I have:
{
"ip_management": "[VPN INTERNAL IP]",
"ip_address": "[VPN INTERNAL IP]",
"world": 1,
"server_port": [VPN FORWARDED PORT],
"wl_port": 43595,
"js5_port": 43595,
"ui_scale": 1,
"fps": 0
}
I’ve made sure the changes persist by either setting the file to read-only, or just avoiding changing the server setting at the game client launcher.
The only change I’ve made for the server was changing 2009scape-master/docker-compose.yml
. I put the VPN port to the left side and left everything else the same.
version: '3.3'

Sorry if I come across as a novice. I’m still learning and any help is always appreciated.
It’s very likely an issue on my end. I’m quite new to this and still trying to figure it out. I simply don’t know much on how to identify these issues or what to change when they come up.
It’s Lemmy running BE: 0.19.12
Wikipedia already doesn’t allow that, so your question is pointless.
