Yeah, this might make reminders work for me.
They drown on my lock screen and over the years I’ve found them less effective at times. Push notifications, man.

Seems like an awkward conflict. If the generated material can’t be copyrighted and the characters are “licensed.”
Can I copyright my ai output if I put my own copy-written character or IP in the corner? Does a logo count? What about a dancing logo character?

I feel like iFixit has always talked out of both sides of their mouth. It’s one of those situations where it becomes clearer over longer and longer timescales.
They are a business, not a non-profit organization.

Native apps are so much better, on every platform.
The JavaScript must flow….

There was a time in my experience of twitter where the only anime profile pictures I ran across were people arguing about gamergate.

To summarize: the device is riddled with security flaws, originally shipped with default passwords, communicates with servers in China, comes preinstalled with hacking tools, and even includes a built-in microphone - fully equipped for recording audio - without clear mention of it in the documentation. Could it get any worse?
I am pretty sure these issues stem from extreme negligence and rushed development rather than malicious intent. However, that doesn’t make them any less concerning.
Slop everywhere. As far as the eye can see.

Their reviewers are always so flippant and trying to be cool and casual about it all. I don’t know how anyone can take them seriously.

The AGI you are talking about sounds woke, and that’s illegal under an executive order that takes effect at the end of the year, at least in the US.

Wow, this “article” just keeps repeating itself.

Everything will be fine as long as they create digital god. Just gotta keep the plates spinning for a few more years… yeah?

The already killed AirPlay years ago 😔

Thread.
Threads is the Twitter like social media platform run by Meta that has some ActivityPub (mastodon) support.

And don’t get me started on the people who assume macOS does not have a command line.

Hell yeah.
Thread and Matter. I only started getting serious when HomeKit started supporting thread. And then when matter came around I started only getting things that support both.
It’s the future, but it’s not something I would encourage anyone with working systems to upgrade to. It’s perfect for new people to get in on. And perfect to slowly transition to. But matter still has a long way to go to support all possible device types and functions.
If you are asking Home assistant users, then your response will be more mixed. But for people using HomeKit and Google Home, it’s the future and promises more interoperability and more options for affordable accessories that don’t require using Homeassistant or vendor apps.
I hate vendor apps. And even with homeassistant making lots of progress in usability, it’s still a bit of a no-go for your average person. I say this as someone who owns official home assistant hardware for supporting needs. Most of my day to day interactions and automations still happen via HomeKit native tho.

He’s had an ego like this for a long time. I’m glad more people see it now.

As soon as they fix the memory issue, sure. Otherwise it’s gonna be schizophrenic.
I’m surprised to hear that about the docs. I would have assumed it was very technical and assumed a lot of domain knowledge. Based on the Arch memes.
Great to hear!
The existence of PC Master Race tells me everything I need to know about gamers who cling to windows. Edit: And post comments like the “report back” one you cited.

Was that a threat?
And I hope he wasn’t threatening everyone who participates in the global economy.
