There are still movies that get a VHS release, so I don’t see them completely abandoning disc media any time soon. Tons of people still use it to watch movies

My boss is awesome. He realizes that his job is mostly to make sure we’re able to do our jobs effectively. It really feels like I’m working with him, not for him, which is how it should be.

Get one with a remote, then get a smart RF blaster. There’s the Broadlink RM4 that I’ll likely be going with in the future.

Or, you could get an ESP32 and an IR transmitter/receiver and use Esphome. Same concept, but completely local.
