I’m not paying for a service I don’t want just because it’s being run unsafely, that isn’t how anything works. If you can’t fact check you need to abandon the project because it is harmful, end of story. This is pretty clearly more of an edgy teen situation than a crazy techbro situation though, so good luck growing out of being an edgy teen, hopefully someday you’ll develop some empathy and make actually good software.
Wow that does not make your intentions seem more pure lol. “Pay me to do something bad or else I’ll do something worse mwahahaha”
No, you need to fact check information before spreading it. Once you’ve posted it it’s too late, people will have read it and some of those people may believe it and spread it further. You need to either read every summary yourself (or hire a team to do it) and take responsibility for any mistakes, or abandon the project. You don’t get to blame other people for not fact checking the junk you post online.
This continues to be a terrible idea. What you’ve built is an automated misinformation machine. You absolutely need to be fact checking every summary by hand, anything else is completely irresponsible no matter how good you claim your model is.
It’s crazy how hp made great computers, made the best calculators on the market, bought the best mobile device manufacturer, and then were just like “wait let’s make awful printers and computers instead”
WebOS, PalmOS, and Sailfish OS are the only mobile OSes I’ve ever not disliked. I wish Jolla seemed a little more trustworthy so I could switch to Sailfish as my main phone os
I think everyone would just turn to piracy at that point since the way people consume music is a lot different than the way people consume movies. Maybe that could have worked before playlists were a common thing, but at this point I think there would be riots if suddenly everyone’s playlists were all ruined
I also have always had everything just work, I don’t understand how everything is always broken for everyone else. Maybe I just buy good hardware?
Yeah but remember to factor in that you probably already need a normal computer for non-game purposes so if you also use that for games you only have to buy one device not two
“I’ve womansplained him to death”
I needed to crop a couple of images a few days ago and completely forgot about graphical editors. I spent like 10 minutes repeatedly using imagemagick with slightly tweaked parameters until I liked the crop
I think they expect gaming on linux to be like gaming on macos which is actually awful. As someone who has spent like her entire life gaming on linux, I tried to help a friend figure out how to run a game on their mac and it took so long to get working and was so confusing
That camera bump is insane
Yes, basic respect for people is far more important than any web browser
Which is honestly a good thing, it’s so much better than instructions that are like click here -> drag to the left -> open a three level deep menu -> check the box -> reopen that menu -> click go. Or even worse, instructions that are a video
The problem would be payments though since you probably don’t want the instance admins handling your payment info. Maybe it could work more like craigslist though where payment is up to the buyer and seller to figure out, but that has its own problems. It does seem like it would be useful though if there was a way to make it fairly safe
What? People are allowed to avoid people they have serious disagreements with? You have every right to have whatever unkind opinions you want to have, but that doesn’t mean anyone is required to listen to you or like you. You’re never going to be liked by everyone in the world, but if you can hardly find anyone willing to be around you, it’s probably time to do some self refelction
There isn’t really a single “fediverse” that decides what’s “allowed”. What your fediverse is depends on where your account is and who they’re federated with. You’re perfectly free to say whatever you want on your own instance and talk to the other people on instances willing to federate with you. The thing is, being mean to people who have done nothing to harm you tends to make you pretty unpopular and make people not want to interact with you, that’s why instances that encourage that tend to not be federated with very many popular instances.
There are ones that don’t? That’s scary
