Of course it is… Funny though, bc nobody really uses it at work, so our pricing should theoretically go down… But I doubt it, MS will find a way to make it go up

I would be raising hell!

That didn’t matter for me recently. On a site, flights in cart, looked at rental car for <5 minutes and the outbound flights jumped ~$60/ticket in that time “due to demand” when the flight was 80%empty…
Got on my phone, on data (so new browser, new IP) still prices are higher. Hopped on my old phone over VPN to change region, checked out a different leave date, checked a couple, went back to my original date and flights were $40 cheaper (so still $20 more than before) but they gotta know based on Geo IP and time of inquiries it’s probably all the same person, smh.
What a scam!!

The other things politicians do, like in Illinois, is introduce one bill, and his other things within it to get things passed outside the normal channels. Like when Pritzker up and banned 170+specific firearms, ammo limitations, threaded barrels, and then started a registration process. Also repealed knowingly spreading HIV illegal, so anyone (by the sound of it-haven’t looked into it much) can sleep with a new partner without disclosing HIV status. I’m assuming that’s to appeal somehow to the LGBTQ community since the bulk of voters are the Chicago area, but some time he purely for just in time for elections.
You might think the firearms thing is OK as it helps cut down on crime. Nope, instead, there’s cashless bail and softer policies towards criminals. We can’t even accurately report those numbers based on how crimes or incidents are categorized. It’s a mess.
He also just made it so that a bulk of the DOT funds go to Chicago roads with little left over for the remainder of the state… The tolls collected by the Chicago area are supposed to help that, but nooo, just keep reallocating funds around election time. Sure.

Ohhh, well… Yikes. I think they hop on board without truly understanding what they’re signing up for. OR worse yet, they understand and are OK with it.

But you KNOW the masses will comply because they’re told so. They don’t want to break the law…

Please explain who this is! At the federal or state level? I don’t know enough

And so the need to be kept important (or relevant) continues

I think Yunohost integrates fail2ban, too.

Remind me, is that 5th or 4th gen Intel? I’m thinking 5th, I seem to remember haswell-E (extreme) half gen coming out, which is why I’m stuck… but either way that’s awesome! Coming up on 12 years solid! Just retired my 3rd gen and opted to take my 7th gen daily driver and replace that machine, and make a 12th the new daily. Last year, so prices were a bit better. Didn’t have a use for that 3770K though anymore unfortunately.
I was under the impression “air-gap” doesn’t apply to browsers, as you’d need to not have an outside internet connection.

Dual boot your current one so you have a choice to learn Linux at your own pace! Still have w11 for a fall back just on case.

I just kind of forego any content. I used to watch silly stuff like the Electroboom guy, Linux Tech tips A LONG time ago when it felt more personable and meaningful. My son watches carwow or something, doing car comparisons sort of how Top gear used to, but I’m not into it as I can’t afford those nice cars lol.
Tech review stuff gets under my skin bc it’s so much promotion of sponsors, their channels, and they’re always begging for likes and subscribes… 🤮 plus they’re often biased. I know there’s a large audience to cater to but I feel often times I’m more, product and feature aware than they are, but I’m also obsessed with technology, FOSS, self-hosting, etc.

“Content creators” lol. I mean, I guess there could be, but YT stopped being decent about 10 years ago, maybe longer. I haven’t used it but for an occasional video. Surprisingly, I haven’t missed it. There’s not much on YouTube I couldn’t get elsewhere, with less ads, and to the point vs a 10 minute video intro plus sponsor plugs, etc.

You’re not stupid, you just need to learn done telltale signs. Most the time, for me, it’s post history.

I have moved a lot of our company to LibreOffice, and were starting to push web clients for software vs thin clients, so it can be run from mobile, Apple, and Linux. I only have 2 Linux Mint PCs out in the wild for more savvy users and no issues so far either. The EDR works on multiple OSes which is nice, so still compliant.
The other nice thing I’ve seen Lenovo and Dell offer are PCs that come preloaded with Linux like Ubuntu iirc, slightly cheaper too.
Power users still on Excel and MS Office for features, troubleshooting, and familiarity, but so far, much smoother than anticipated. Just need to convince the powers that be to roll out more Mint!

There’s Peertube, Vimeo, and others

Gmail didn’t exist until 2004 or so. Google back then was a search engine in 1998 so there’d be no need for an "account"in the sense it’s used today. I mean, they’re probably not wrong claiming they have a Google account old enough to be legal since it’d only need to be from 2008 to be 18, and there was Gmail, YouTube, and Android (later on) by then.

Probably bots trying to trick people into thinking it’s absurd and bad and all that.
You’re looking at Claude, I don’t See Copilot
Edit: ignore me, I finally reviewed the article and is through GH, not actual MS 365 page.
