OBD fault logs points to an injector issue, I’ll try some cleaner tomorrow. For now, no car, had to go get the bread and milk on a bike…

Take apart and remove the injectors, get a spray bottle of fuel injector cleaner and insert it into the intake of the injector, then wire a 12v batter to the two terminals to run the injector … run it for about 20 seconds like this to completely clean the unit … do the same for all the other injectors then reinstall

I did this work with my 1998 BMW K1200RS without any special tools because I couldn’t get them in time and it worked just fine … just be careful with disassembly and reassembly … about a year later, I bought an actual injector cleaner kit to do the work on other vehicles.

Plenty of guides on how to do a simple DIY method without any special tools

Or you could buy a ready made fuel injector cleaning kit for about $50 CAD ($35USD or 30EURO)

Surely that wouldn’t work with a diesel injector?

Anyway cars back home now, a friend of a friend had the time and expertise to sort it, and now in return we gotta sort out his new toy, an xt500, I predict lots of cardio induced kickstarting.
